Minor alterations to layout and materials of construction of rear balcony. Layout modifications are described in the attached drawings and involve relocating the stairs from the south face to the west end of the deck and extending part of the deck by approximately 1.2 m south. The existing timber support structure will be retained with the exception of the horizontal beams underlying the deck surface which will be replaced, a tape wrap will be applied to the top surface to improve longevity. The existing timber decking will be replaced with a wood effect composite material. The existing timber finish to the supporting structure will be retained. Additional vertical supports will be provided as required. The existing galvanized/painted steel balustrades will be replaced with glass panels with intermediate steel supports. Minor civils work will be required to provide additional paving at the base of the relocated stairs
