I wish to very substantially reduce the large evergreen tree in the front garden of 60 Beaconsfield villas, cutting the main trunk and branches down to c2 meters. I am not sure of tree variety but it is fairly common non-native evergreen grown to the height of the first floor. The reduction is needed because - - this tree is fighting for sun and water with the elm immediately in front on the pavement. - my tree has several large dead branches and looks generally unhappy as a result. - both trees and the cherry tree next door will benefit from more space. - my tree can handle being cut back and will regrow to omething more like a bush. The arboriculturist saw my tree when she advised on protecting the elm during building works and was clear it wasn't anything special (eg not under tpo, didn't need protecting from builders)
