Planning Decision

Why it was refused

  1. The proposed rear dormer extension, by reason of its excessive scale and width, would result in a bulky addition to the roof that would appear unduly dominant and visually intrusive when viewed from the surrounding area. The proposal would fail to complement the host dwelling and would result in a form of development that would harm the character and appearance of the host property and the visual amenity of the surronding area, contrary to the aims of Policy DMP1 of the Local Plan (2019-2041) and the Residential Extensions & Alterations SPD (2025).
