Notice of intent to carry out works to trees in a Conservation Area - Remove Yew trees - The applications involves four trees: Three Yew trees (Y1, Y2, Y3) and a Bay tree (B1). All are adjacent to a six foot wall which borders our property and the church yard and the years of growth have caused severe structural damage to the wall, part of which has had to be demolished and will need to be re-built, but before doing so, the Yew trees will need to be cut down and the Bay tree will either need to be substantially cut back or removed as well.Y1 is a tree at the entrance to the church yard and is now impairing access to the same, in addition to which it has pushed that section of the wall over: This needs to be removed completely. Y2 and Y3 are not in good condition and Y3 looks as though it is dying: Again, both require removal. B1 is a vey large Bay tree and needs cutting down to about 2 metres in height, but a again it could be more feasible to remove completely, depending upon how far the rots have spread.
