T1 Beech - Crown lift over the highway to 5.2m above ground. Reduce back canopy by pruning the tertiary branch work to maintain clearance of 3m to adjacent building, flats 1-4b. T2 Lime - To remove basal shoots an epicormic growth to a maximum of 5m from ground level. Also to clean through the canopy to remove major dead wood and broken / crossing branches and to lightly reduce overall height by some 4m and reshape as necessary to leave a balanced and attractive form. The tree is 20m in height and reduction would be to approx. 16m. Reduction would be back to suitable nodes leaving a strong framework of healthy small diameter branches and twigs capable of producing dense leaf cover during the following season. Undertaking crown reduction rather than topping, the cuts created would normally expose a much smaller proportion of heartwood or ripewood than of sapwood and would not exceed 100mm in diameter.
