This PAN relates to a proposed outline planning application affecting land within the administrative areas of both Belfast City Council and Ards and North Down Borough Council. Separate PANs have been submitted to each Council and should be read alongside the parallel PAN for the proposed outline planning application at Belfast City Airport. The consultation arrangements set out in Section G apply to both planning applications and to the proposed amendments to the Planning Agreement, which are being undertaken as part of a voluntary public consultation process. Belfast City Airport is proposing a programme of improvements to enhance passenger facilities, improve aircraft operations and strengthen connectivity to and from the airport. This PAN relates to a proposed outline planning application for supporting airport infrastructure and associated development including:: •ancillary aviation operations, including aircraft hangars, aviation fuel tanks and associated infrastructure; •a hotel; •the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels at various locations across the airport; • an electric vehicle charging hub; and • improvements to landscaping, drainage, utilities, servicing infrastructure, and other ancillary development.
