Tree 1 -Sycamore - Remove the lowest east facing branch. This branch has an area of damage at its base -half of the stem is girdled by this damage. Decay has set in. This branch could break off in high winds. Remove the lowest secondary branch and the two most extended secondary branches from the lowest south facing branch and reduce the lowest west facing branch by 3 metres spread, pruning to good nodes. This work will not only reduce the wind resistance of the tree's lower branches (which will be more at risk from winds following the loss of a neighbouring branch) but will also make the tree look more balanced following the loss of a lower branch.
