Planning Decision

Why it was refused

  1. The proposed extensions, by reason of their cumulative scale, excessive height, bulk and unsympathetic design, would result in unduly prominent, incongruous, insubordinate and disproportionate additions to the dwellinghouse. As such, the proposal would be detrimental to the character and appearance of the host property, neighbouring properties, the street scene and the wider locality. The proposal would therefore be contrary to Policies D3 and D4 of the London Plan (2021), Policies CDH01 and CDH05 of the Barnet Local Plan (2025), the principles of the National Planning Policy Framework (2025), and the Sustainable Design and Development Guidance SPD (2026).
