T1 Fir tree to be felled in rear garden is one of two planted by the previous occupiers over 30 years ago. Over the years they have grown too large for a domestic situation (estimated at over 30 feet tall) and one has begun to show signs of disease. Both are close to a boundary wall and this has prompted the neighbour to complain about the size of the trees and suggest that they should be reduced or removed. The proposal is to fell one in order to preserve the other. The tree in question offers little or no amenity value and shades the adjoining property and once removed the space will be replanted with something more suited to a domestic garden.
