Credentials
- Buy With Confidence (Trading Standards)Check the Buy With Confidence register
Buy With Confidence is run by local authority Trading Standards services. Trading Standards officers check a business before it joins, and members commit to trading legally and fairly. It is one of the few schemes vetted by a public body rather than a trade association or a commercial directory.
- NICEIC RegisteredCheck the NICEIC register
NICEIC assesses electrical contractors against the UK wiring regulations (BS 7671), including inspections of their work. Registered firms can self-certify notifiable electrical work under the Building Regulations in England and Wales, so you do not need to apply to building control separately. You should receive a certificate when the work is finished.
Memberships can lapse, so check before work starts.
