NICEIC assesses electrical contractors against the UK wiring regulations (BS 7671), including inspections of their work. Registered firms can self-certify notifiable electrical work under the Building Regulations in England and Wales, so you do not need to apply to building control separately. You should receive a certificate when the work is finished.

TrustMark is the government-endorsed quality scheme for work in and around the home. Firms are checked by an approved scheme provider for technical competence, customer service and trading practices, and agree to the TrustMark code of conduct.
