Consent is sought for: Fell to ground level: T6, T7, T11, T13, T16, G18, T20, G21, T26, G27, T31, T33, T34, T37, T38, T39, T40, T52, T53, G60, G69, T72, T75, T78, T79, G86, G92, T97, T98, T100, G107, T124, T126, T131, T136, G153, G183, T184, T191, T192, T195 and G197. These comprise trees assessed as unsuitable or undesirable for long-term retention due to one or more of: significant structural defects, included unions, basal/stem wounds or cavities, previous limb failure, disease/decline, Ash Dieback, suppression, poor physiological/structural condition, mortality or low arboricultural quality. Examples include T6 (large previous limb failure leaving c.2000 × 500mm wound), T31 (significant 600 × 400mm basal wound), T33/T34/T40/T191 (significant included unions), T78 (chlorosis and basal wound), T79 (significant cavity at c.3m), T98 (advanced ADB), T124 (advanced Pseudomonas syringae) and T131 (significant 1000 × 500mm basal wound). Selective group removals: G120 – fell yew, five hawthorns and ash; retain both silver birches. G121 – fell all hawthorn/yew within group. G128 – fell all identified oak/hawthorn. G138 – fell dead ash only; retain oak and sweet chestnuts. G143 – fell silver birch only; retain two oaks. G161 – fell identified silver birches. G181 – fell southernmost dead sweet chestnut only; retain remaining three. G188 – fell sycamore only; retain three oaks. G211 – fell identified wild cherry/silver birch group. These comprise dead, declining, diseased, suppressed or low-value specimens whose removal will result in minimal arboricultural loss. Pruning: T51, T67, T88 and T133 – crown lift to 5m by removing/reducing lower branches only. T145 – remove the eastern stem only back to its point of origin due to significant basal decay; retain remainder of tree. No consent is sought for ivy severance, routine deadwood removal, monitoring or other exempt maintenance.
