T4 Oak tree situated as detailed in the application is to be felled to near ground level. Reason: It is felt that the tree should be removed due to its conditon and state of decline limiting its longevity. The issue of subsidence is considered to be problematic as the pile foundation is thought to be insuffcient in the area movement of the house based upon the information provided in regard to this application. This shows the pile foundation was designed to be deeper than the clay and sit on firm sand found benath the clay. This has not been the case in the area of movement and clay is found to be depper than the pile allowing movement beneath the pile foundation unlike other areas of the property where movement is unlikely due to siufficient foundation depth. Whilst the tree should be removed due to its condition it is felt that the foundation depth should addressed to prevent such problems in the future cause by similar trees in close proximity to the property.
