The replacement of 5 sash windows with identical like-for-like but double-glazed versions to my first floor flat (44 Archer House, Vicarage Crescent, London SW11 3LF). There will be no change to the appearance of the building but there will be improved energy efficiency for the flat + reduction internally of noise pollution. With regards to fire safety - these will also allow for compliance with the current fire safety regulations - specifically to comply with the relevant section which is 3.16a) of the Government Building Fire Safety B Regulations - to be able to function as emergency escape windows - an issue currently with these 5 windows in question which are extremely and progressively more difficult to open.
