Certificate of Lawfulness for proposed development listed building for remedial works to the timber walls of the side extension (Store) of the Barn It is proposed to replace the existing timber walls of the Barn with masonry (stone) walls. The timber walls and the timber post supporting the roof have been built directly on concrete floor/foundation. The timber post has deteriorated to a degree that it has completely lost its bearing and does not provide sufficient support to the roof (see photos attached). The timber cladding is also decayed and does not keep moisture out of the building. Apart from these two wall sections, the other walls are all constructed of stones. The new stonework will match these existing walls of the Barn. No alterations are proposed to the roof.
