Planning Application Details - AT/2025/0196
This site is very overgrown. Trees are densely populated, suppressing one another, and shading out the entire understory. They have been unmanaged for many years. T1. Beech tree standing besides the glasshouse corner: Height is 9m -to be reduced to 7m. Spread is 6m -to be reduced to 4m . Reasons: Significant squirrel damage on the main stem, a reduction of end weight will support it's integrity. Glass house beneath is currently heavily dominated with leaf drop and shade. T2. Purple beach at the other end of the glasshouse: Height is 9m- to be reduced to 7m. Spread is 6m -to be reduced to 4m . Reasons: Glass house beneath is currently heavily dominated with leaf drop and shade. General management for this overpopulated site. T3. Pittosporum with a dbh of 450 cm, growing up against the boundary wall and in poor form, at the far northern corner besides the glasshouse: To be felled. Reason: It is in overall poor form. It is growing into the boundary wall in a very tight space, looming over the neighbouring property. T4.Pittosporum with a dbh of 400 cm, covered in ivy at the N.W. boundary corner: Height is 6.5m tall. To be pollarded to the wall height which is 2.5m. Reasons: The regrowth from a previous pollard has had several tear outs and needs to be made safe. T5. Apple tree. 3m high, below the two beach trees has been previously heavily pollarded, now in very poor form with significant rot on the throughout: To be felled. T6. Holm oak with a Dbh of 15cm, standing beside the eucalyptus: Height is 5m, to be reduced to 2.5m. Spread is 3m, to be reduced to 1.5m. Reasons: to reshape the heavily leaning form in an overgrown area. T7. Holm oak with a Dbh of 10cm, standing beside the eucalyptus: Height is 4m, Spread is 2mm. To be thinned by 30%. Reasons: to increase light in an overgrown area to encourage plant growth in the understory. See application form and addtional sheet for further works.
