T1 Red Maple (Acer rubrum) T1 is within 3m of 2 Marlborough avenue and growing over the footpath to the house. it has been pollard in the past approximately 5 years ago. The re-growth from a pollard point has a weaker branch union than normal growth therefore creating a weak point it could fail and cause injury to people below or damage to property. I would like to pollard T1 to previous pollard points, making cuts on re-growth only of 10cm or less. these points can clearly be seen in Picture 1. T2 Beech (Fagus sylvatica) T2 is growing in the garden of 2 Marlborough Avenue, I would like to crown lift this tree to approximately 15m from ground level removing 5 primary limbs ranging from 5-10cm in diameter at branch collar. these have been marked on picture 2. this will allow more light into the under canopy of the garden allowing the shrubs to thrive and get more sunlight. T3 Lawson Cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana) T3 is a mature tree, as it has become bigger over the last few years it has been catching the wind more and worrying the owners as well as the neighbours. Lawson cypress are and evergreen tree keeping there foliage through the winter, that are becoming more windy and considerably wetter saturating the soil for months at a time. This combined with Lawson cypress being shallow rooting makes them susceptible to being blown over in the high winds and wet weather. I would like to reduce T3 by 10%, making pruning cuts on vertical growth of no more that 8cm and pruning cuts on horizontal growth of 4cm or less. keeping the aesthetics if the tree avoiding making it flat topped.
