We have a summer room which looks like it was built in the 1970's or 1980's - well before we moved in. It is appended to the utility room (which has a pitched roof) at the back of the kitchen. This summer room has a leaking roof and is an eyesore as it has a flat roof and different coloured/shaded bricks to the rest of the house. We are proposing to rebuild this portion of the house which will have a continuation of the pitched roof so that the flat roof goes. The current utility room and summer room will become one room below. There is no extending of the footprint on the ground. The roof pitch height will be below 4m and the boundary is well over 2m away as can be seen in the drawings. We plan to use rosemary coloured tiling and bricks which are a better colour match to the rest of the house.
