Planning Application Details - DC/26/142955
REAR: ONE Plum (T1) (approx.ht.5m) FALLEN. Reason: dead and fallen. Duty to replace applies. A mature plum tree in our garden appears to have fallen naturally. The tree is currently lying on the ground in a stable and safe position and does not present an immediate risk to people, neighbouring properties, or access. Informative A: the landowner has a duty to plant another tree of an appropriate size and species when a tree is removed in a conservation area because it is dead or presents an immediate risk of serious harm. Ref. Tree Preservation Orders and trees in conservation areas, guidance, para 121. Informative B: suggest replacement tree species such as crab apple, pear, quince (Cydonia oblonga), mulberry, Magnolia, Cornus mas, Amelanchier, paperbark maple, orange bark myrtle (Luma apiculate) for rear amenity, wildlife and shade to reduce increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change, and could be planted in a cleared area of the lawn near original location. Informative C: please create habitat log piles with arisings for wildlife and biodiversity.
