Planning Application Details - TPO23/116

The tree is a large copper beech located at the front of property. The condition of the tree has been deteriorating over the last few years. Large fungus growth has been growing around the base of the tree which we believe to be Meripilus Giganteus. The condition of the overall tree also appears to be getting worse with significant foliage die back and crown thinning. Due to the location of the tree, which spans and leans over the Bromsgrove Road, for safety reasons the tree should be felled as soon as possible. This is a safety concern as the tree could fall across the road and footpath or damage nearby properties. Upon removal of the diseased tree, we would plant a replacement Beech tree as close to the original as possible.
