Planning Application Details - 24/00949/ATC

Sycamore shown on the map. Stands on its own at the edge of the churchyard at the bend of Cublington Road, overhanging the pavement and public highway. Much dead wood needs removing for safety of pedestrians and road users particularly horses or cyclists; this can be done without permission but we wish to follow advice from a tree surgeon that to prolong the life of the tree and avoid an early repeat of removal of dead wood we should have the crown reduced to 1-1.5 metres above previous pruning points and the lateral growth reshaped for balance. This means removing some live wood as well as the dead wood. There is a power cable running through the crown of the tree. The tree surgeons will liaise with UK Power Network on our behalf as the power must be turned off while the work is done. Photos and comments from the tree surgeons are supplied.
