Planning Application Details - TRE/2026/0854

At the bottom of the property garden is a retaining wall leading down to the canal towpath. This wall requires maintenance (it has collapsed further down the canal behind a different property) and the builder has noted several trees requiring removal as they are compromising the wall. See plan: Trees marked F,G & B are species unknown. 1. Trees marked F compromise the wall: F1 at the bottom corner, F3 growing partially through the wall and over the towpath, F2 leaning against the wall foundations and F4 growing into the wall on the other corner. 2. G1 and G2 are near the wall but not in the foundations. To control root invasion these need crown reductions of around 2 meters in height and 1 meter in width 3. Tree B1 appears dead and requires removing to ensure future safety. 4. Tree P1 is a large Flagpole Cherry growing out of control and we have been advised to thin and reduce the crown by 2 meters in height and 1 meter in width to improve the long term health and symmetry of the tree
